30-Second Chocolate Nut Jobs
Skinny Cooks

Ingredients:
4 ounces of chocolate candy coating (I bought mine as 16-ounce pack at Kroger) 2 handfuls of mixed nuts 1-1/2 to 2 cups of cereal (approximately); use any kind you like (I used Fiber One, the kind that looks like chow mein noodles) 2 to 4 drops of mint oil flavoring Optional: nougat, caramel, marshmallow or peanut butter

Instructions:
I used a microwave-safe cereal bowl. Put the chocolate into the bowl and zap it for 30 seconds. It will still look sort of solid, but when you stir it you’ll see it makes a nice, thick chocolate sauce. Toss in the mixed nuts, cereal and mint flavoring if you wish to use it. Stir this around so everything is coated with the chocolate. If it looks too wet, add some more nuts or cereal. Lay out a sheet of plastic wrap or waxed paper. Drop about a tablespoon of the chocolate nut mix in a spot on the plastic wrap. Repeat this until all the mix is used. Let these sit for maybe 20 minutes so they’ll be nicely stuck together and you can pick them up without getting chocolate on your fingers. If you’re going to use nougat, caramel, marshmallow or peanut butter you can drop some of the nut mix on the plastic wrap, lay on the caramel or whatever you choose to use, then cover with more of the nut mix. This makes a great treat. Readers with questions or comments for Dave Kessler may write to him in care of this publication.
