1/2 cup butter 7 tablespoons root beer 3 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa 16-ounce package powdered sugar 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

In a saucepan over medium heat combine the butter, root beer and unsweetened cocoa. Heat and stir until the butter melts. Remove from the heat at this time. Stir in the powdered sugar and vanilla extract and stir until smooth. Pour this, or spread it, over the cooled cake. Use a rubber spatula to help smooth out the frosting so you get the cake pretty well covered. This will get you one dandy cake everyone will enjoy.
