Good Apple Bread

Ingredients:

1 1/2 c. applesauce
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. vegetable oil
2 eggs
3 T. milk
2 c. flour
1 t. baking soda
1/2 t. baking powder
1/4 t. allspice
1/2 t. cinnamon
1/4 t. nutmeg
3/4 c. pecans, chopped
Nut Topping:
1/4 c. pecans, chopped
1/4 c. brown sugar
1/2 t. cinnamon
Optional Topping: Powdered sugar icing

Instructions:

Grease your medium size loaf pan and turn on the oven set at 350 degrees. Stir together the applesauce, sugar, oil, eggs and milk.

In another bowl combine the flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt and spices. Mix well. Combine the two mixtures and stir well. Add the 3/4 cup chopped pecans. Place in the greased loaf pan.

Combine the nut topping ingredients and sprinkle on top of the loaf.

Bake at the 350 degrees approximately an hour. When you remove this from the loaf pan you can also drizzle on some powdered sugar icing if you wish. It will be scrumptious.
