One-Armed Grave Digger’s Hot Hash
Skinny Cooks

Ingredients:
1 pound ground beef 2 large onions, chopped 1 green pepper, seeds removed and chopped 1/2 cup chopped jalapeño peppers 1 garlic clove, chopped 1 (16 ounces) can tomatoes 2 teaspoons chili powder 1/4 teaspoon pepper 2 teaspoons salt 1 ( 8 ounces) can of tomato sauce 3/4 cup uncooked rice 2 cups grated cheddar cheese

Instructions:
Use a Dutch oven to make this hash. Brown the ground beef and drain off the grease. Add the onions, green pepper, jalapeno peppers and garlic to the meat. Sauté until the onion is translucent and soft. Stir in the tomatoes, chili powder, pepper, salt, tomato sauce and rice. Make sure everything is nicely mixed and distributed throughout. Cover the Dutch oven and place in your oven at 350 degrees, and bake for almost an hour. Take out of the oven and remove the lid. Sprinkle on the grated cheddar cheese and return to the oven for about 10 minutes so the cheese will melt. This will warm your gizzard, no matter how cold it is outside.
