URBANA, Ill. — Talented youth livestock judges gathered to compete in the Illinois State Fair 4-H Invitational Livestock Judging Contest Aug. 12. Tyler Loschen of Kankakee County edged out the competition by two points, taking home the coveted high individual award with a score of 528 points.
The remaining top 10 individuals and their counties are: Adam Helregel of Jasper County, second place; Jon Heaton of Henry, third; Kane Austin of Marion, fourth; David Ammann of Madison, fifth; Dillon Lemenager of Kankakee, sixth; Tyler Gradert of Henry, seventh; Gabrielle Lemenager of Kankakee, eighth; Sawyer Shaddock of Henry, ninth; and Matthew Hahn of Marshall, 10th.
The first-place team was Madison County, with a score of 1,510: David Ammann, Daniel Ammann, Dylan Rutz and Caleb Brink. The second-place team was Kankakee County, with a score of 1,503. Third place went to Henry County with 1,498. The fourth-place team was Rock Island, with 1,473, and fifth-place honors went to Edgar County, 1,446. |
