ILLINOIS
April 7: University of Illinois Extension’s Good Agricultural Practices (GAPs) workshop will take place at the Kankakee County Extension office in Bourbonnais, Ill. Topics will include produce food safety, post-harvest produce handling, water quality and testing, soil management, manure management and work health and hygiene. INDIANA
April 7: The Beginner’s Guide to Grant Writing Workshop teaches grant writers of all skill levels how to prepare and submit a professional proposal. The workshop takes place at the Pulaski County Extension office in Winamac, Ind. April 15: The Purdue Wine Grape Team will host an Extension workshop for those interested in commercial winegrowing and winemaking at Oliver Winery’s Creekbend Vineyard in Ellettsville, Ind., from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. A registration fee of $50 per workshop includes lunch. April 19-20: 20th annual Tri-State Dairy Nutrition Conference will offer dairy nutritionists, industry professionals and producers a number of ways to best manage feeding the herd. OHIO
