Don’t let your dreams slip through your fingertips
Hello! Do you remember me? I’ve been here waiting for your attention, but you haven’t given it to me in a very long time. I haven’t seen your gaze in I don’t know when and frankly, you need to look at me.

You need me, plain and simple. I’m a vital part of your life. I’ve been here since before you thought to focus on me and the day you met me was a big day in your life.

You fell in love with me that day. I was huge to you back then. I was bigger than life itself and all you could do was think about me.

I made you get up in the morning. I kept you working diligently through the mundane days of your life. I filled your thoughts as you drifted off to sleep. You kept me a secret for a long time until you had the courage to share me with your closest friends. You thought they might laugh at you because of me and some did. But your close friends just smiled and encouraged you to keep reaching for me.

I’ve been inside you for a long time and the tools and talents you need to reach me are there, right there inside of you. Oh, you might think you don’t have those tools and talents, but you do. If you didn’t have what it took to reach me, I wouldn’t be here in front of you right now.

Don’t let the world shut me out. You’ve been walking around as if you didn’t have me for awhile now. But I’m still here, waiting for you. Patiently. I’m waiting.

You act as though you aren’t worthy of having me in your life, but you are.
Your countenance lights up when I drift into your sight and I love the look on your face when you think about me. Please, keep me, don’t let me go.
When you take your eyes off me, your path gets weary and your load gets heavy.

You seem to get confused and downcast. You don’t have much direction and you seem to slow down to a crawl. Your life doesn’t seem to have meaning and your steps seem useless.

Sometimes I feel like just a faint light in a very dark world. But the good thing is, I’m still a light and there is still hope for me … and for you. Take off the layers of discouragement and bad days. Take off the cloak of poor decisions, dead-ends and confusion and let me shine again. Let me be big again. I’m waiting.

Sit still for a moment and think about me. Do you remember me?

I am your dream. I am the big goal that’s inside of you. I am huge and unattainable at times, but always available to accomplish. I am what you want out of life and where you’re headed. God gave me to you, and He also gave you the tools to make me come true.

Push the busyness of life aside for a moment and concentrate on me. I’m here. I’m waiting. And when you reach for me we will go places and do things you never imagined. I’m bigger and better, and when I come true, you will have a feeling inside that cannot be matched.

I’m here. I will always be here. Look at me. I’m waiting.
