ILLINOIS
June 29: The University of Illinois Weed Science Field Day will take place at the U of I Crop Sciences Research and Education Center in Urbana, Ill. Cost for the tour is $10 and includes a tour book, refreshments and lunch. Contact a local UoI Extension office to register.

June 30: The University of Illinois Extension and The Land Connection are collaborating to host the workshop Is Entrepreneurial Farming for You? Topics will cover resource assessment, goal-setting, financial planning and marketing options at the Sangamon County Office at the Illinois State Fairgrounds, Building 30 in Springfield, Ill. June 29 tours include T.S. Boyd Grain Inc. in Washington, Ind. Carnahan & Sons Farm in Vincennes, Ind. and Villwock Farms in Edwardsport, Ind. Lunch is available both days. A Master Farmer reception and dinner program takes place the first day, with an ag outlook by Purdue ag economist Chris Hurt the second day.
