LOUISVILLE, Ky. — In its 33rd annual event, the NAILE show is now singularly recognized as the largest livestock exposition in the country with more than 22,000 animals entered and an expected 200,000 visitors from the United States and around the world.

NAILE hosted more than 140 sales, shows, breed and association meetings, events, and livestock judging contests during the two-week event including everything from Championship Rodeo, to the U.S. Disc Dog National and International Championships to wool spinning and the 150 vendors in the Giant Country Store. The beef show week, from Nov. 8-17, attracted the largest number of exhibitors.

In seven days, 26 different beef breeds were shown and thousands of dollars in livestock changed hands during eight public sales. More than $650,000 in premiums were given to exhibitors.

Shows began on Saturday, Nov. 11, with the Junior Heifer Show and concluded on Friday, Nov. 17.

Breeds showcased included: Shorthorn, Angus, Red Poll, Maine Anjou, Simmental, Piedmontese, Belted Galloway, Chianina, Linousin, Braunvieh, Gelbvieh, Hereford and Polled Hereford, Charolais, Murray Grey, Santa Gertrudis, and Red Angus.
