Dwight O. Knollenberg

July 21, 1928-December 30, 2014

Dwight O. Knollenberg, 86, passed away on Dec. 30, 2014.  He was born July 21, 1928, the son of Orville and Lillian (Neet) Knollenberg in Springfield, Ill.
He married Betty Schmidt on Aug. 29, 1948, at the United Methodist Church in Lincoln, Ill.; she survives. He is preceded in death by one brother, Duane Knollenberg, and his parents.
Dwight is also survived by three sons, Ron (Linda) Knollenberg of Mason City, Ill., Joe (Linda) Knollenberg of Columbia, Mo., and John Knollenberg of Mason City, as well as eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Dwight was an auctioneer, and member of The National Auctioneers Assoc.; member, past president (two terms) and inducted into The Hall of Fame of the Illinois Auctioneer Assoc.; past Rotary member; and taught Dale Carnegie classes.
A funeral service was held for Dwight at noon on Saturday, Jan. 3, 2015, at Assembly of God Church. Visitation took place for two hours prior, also at the Assembly of God Church.
