Paisley offers a little fun with his top-notch music
Rural Route Music by Bluegrass Johnson

BITTER SWEET, Ky. — If you’re the kind of person that likes a little fun with your country music, I have just the artist for you: Brad Paisley.
This guy is the complete package. He has a great voice, is an incredible guitar player, an experienced showman, a gifted show host and a funny guy.
And since 1999 he has been putting one song after another on country radio selling more than 12 million records. But Paisley’s singing career began as a kid, performing in church and for different events around his small hometown of Glen Dale, W.Va.
I think there’s something special about those artists that get that sort of small town nurturing. It really shows in the kind of songs they sing.
Paisley has made quite the living out of singing those songs about everyday life but it has to be the great music videos that have gotten him so much attention. In fact, he was recently named as one of the 2015 YouTube Music Award winners.
Through the years he has created several memorable videos including Water, Mud on the Tires and Ticks to name a few. His humor shows through in many of the lyrics to his songs and the videos for those songs.
His comedic skills have also been put to good use when hosting the Country Music Assoc. Awards with Carrie Underwood. In April he will host the Wild West Comedy Festival in Nashville, Tenn.
But make no mistake; music is what he does best. Paisley’s latest release, Moonshine in the Trunk is probably my personal favorite. The album is full of fun lyrics with a few serious selections and a great rendition of Tom T. Hall’s Me and Jesus. It has become a custom of Paisley’s to include a religious song on each album and this one is a favorite of mine.
While I really like all of this album, Perfect Storm is the track I keep singing in my head. It’s a song about what a man feels for his woman and describes her as Sunshine mixed with a little hurricane. She must be one heck of a woman!
I give BP a big A for bringing a lot of fun to country music and two big A’s for bringing such good music to his fans for the last 16 years. Here’s to the next 16, Brad.
