Mark Thomas Mattox
 
May 4, 1960-July 12, 2017

Mark Thomas Mattox, 57, owner, principal real estate broker and auctioneer of Mark Mattox Real Estate and Auctions, died Wednesday, July 12, 2017, at Baptist Health Lexington.

He was born May 4, 1960, in Mount Sterling, Ky., son of Robert Mattox and the late Nancye Carolyn Webb Mattox.

Mark was a 1978 graduate of Nicholas County High School, 1980 graduate of Reppert School of Auctioneering and received his bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Eastern Kentucky University in 1982.

Prior to starting his own business he was a partner in Earl Hamm Real Estate. Mark served on the board of directors of the former Nicholas County Hospital; was active in the Carlisle Chamber of Commerce; and was an Elder, vice chair of the board and former Deacon of Carlisle Christian Church.

He is survived by his wife, Donna Gail Hughes Mattox; two sons, Walker Thomas Mattox and Elliott Donald Mattox; daughter, Olivia Lee-Alice Mattox; his father, Robert (Katie) Mattox; and Rick (Rhonda) Mattox, Mike (Jill) Mattox, Robert Kent (Debbie) Mattox, Don and Jeanette Hughes, Robert Hughes and Alan Eingold, Jennifer Hughes Smith, Jacob Mattox, Mary Mattox Uber, Holly Mattox Martin, Sam Mattox, Michael Mattox, Ben Mattox, Isaiah Mattox, Noah Mattox, Eli Mattox, Griffin Hughes Smith, Eric Eingold and Amy Eingold.

Funeral services were held on July 15 at Carlisle Christian Church, with a private burial in Carlisle Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to Carlisle Christian Church Window Fund, 242 Locust Street, Carlisle, KY 40311 or the charity of your choice.

William David “Bill” Foster

November 19, 1942-August 28, 2017
William David “Bill” Foster, 74, of Indianapolis, passed away August 28, 2017. 
 
He was born Nov. 19, 1942, in Indianapolis, Ind., the son of Robert and Helen (Tudor) Foster, and grew up in Zionsville.

After a long career in truck sales, Bill founded his own business, Foster’s Truck and Equipment Sales, in 1986. He was an active supporter of Boy Scouts, 4-H and loved to show horses. Bill was also a member of the Pleasant Masonic Lodge No. 134 F. & A.M., the Scottish Rite Valley of Indianapolis and the Murat Shrine.

Bill and his wife, Betty, enjoyed wintering in Ft. Myers and Sanibel Island, Fla. He was a great friend to those who knew him and would do anything for anyone. On Sept. 2, 1961, Bill married his high school sweetheart, Betty (Gann) Foster, who survives.

He is also survived by his sons, Rob Foster (Linda), Billy Foster (Kris) and Gerry Gann (Linda); his grandchildren, Chad Foster, Courtney Foster, Megan Lowry (Jace) and Cody Foster; and his great-grandchildren, Cayden, Mackenzie and Bryson. Bill was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services were on Sept. 1 at Flanner and Buchanan- Zionsville, preceded by visitation with a Masonic service.

Burial was in Zionsville Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to the 4-H Foundation, 615 W.
