The Greenhand Degree is awarded to first year members of the FFA, and is the first award that can be received. Each member awarded received a pin to be worn on their FFA jacket and a certificate of achievement.

Jesse Branner, State FFA Vice President of the Ohio FFA Association, was the guest speaker.

Gamble receives American Degree
ROCKFORD, Ohio — Amanda Gamble received her FFA American Degree on Oct. 29, 2005 at the 78th National FFA Convention in Louisville, Ky. Gamble is the daughter of John and Ricki Gamble of Rockford. She graduated from Parkway in 2004 and is pursuing an agricultural teaching degree from the Ohio State University in Columbus.

While in the Parkway FFA, Amanda served as vice president and president. She also served the Ohio FFA as District 4 President. Amanda is still actively involved in FFA at Ohio State and serves on the Made For Excellence Staff. Some of her other activities include: Ag Ed Society, where she is the co-chair of the programming committee and the co-chair of the Scarlet & Gray Ag Day Committee.
