AGCO offering restoration parts for antique tractors, equipment
By CINDY LADAGE
MINOT, N.D. — It just became easier for those restoring their antique equipment to do so. While hunting the tractor, or the tillage tool that goes with the treasured tractor, sometimes finding the parts to complete it can be challenging, often resulting in creating a version of the originals from scratch.
Now, those restoring Massey Ferguson, Ferguson or Massey Harris equipment can look to the AGCO Parts Division to find what they need.
Many collectors know the history of their older tractor such as Allis Chalmers, White or the lines listed above, but may not know the history behind AGCO Corp. It was founded in 1990 and is a global manufacturer of agricultural equipment and related replacement parts. It offers a full product line, including tractors, combines, hay tools, sprayers, forage, tillage equipment and implements.
AGCO products are available through more than 3,200 independent dealers and distributors in more than 140 countries worldwide. The AGCO umbrella includes the well-known AGCO, Challenger, Fendt, Gleaner, Hesston, Massey Ferguson, New Idea, RoGator, Spra-Coupe, Sunflower, Terra-Gator, Valtra and White Planters brands.
AGCO has released its 338-page Massey Ferguson Heritage Catalog, featuring original equipment-quality parts for Ferguson, Massey Ferguson and Massey-Harris equipment. The company has organized the catalog into 17 sections to make finding the needed part a little easier; the sections include machine information, aesthetics, lubricants, filters, engine, fuel, brakes and licensed merchandise.
Bob Gideon, marketing communications, said, “The AGCO Parts Heritage Line targets equipment produced by the AGCO family of brands from 1940 to 1996. This is the third in a series of Heritage catalogs. The first was for Allis-Chalmers, AGCO-Allis, Deutz-Allis and Deutz-Fahr. The second Heritage catalog featured White, Oliver, Oliver Hart-Parr, Minneapolis-Moline and Cockshutt.”
For those with other brands, knowing these catalogs are available expands the opportunity for more collectors in their restoration endeavors.
