Alexander FFA wraps up summer activities

ALBANY, Ohio — The Alexander FFA recently wrapped up Athens County Fair and despite the heat, it was a busy week for the chapter.  The Athens County Fair took place Aug. 1-9.  On Friday, Aug. 1, Alexander FFA members worked to improve the FFA booth in order to show off all of the classes’ hard work. Many members brought in projects to display in booths ranging from welding to vegetables and tap and die projects to corn hole boards. The chapter also hosted the children’s Fun Day at the fair.

On August 27, the Alexander FFA Chapter met to have their first meeting of the school year, 46 members attended. At the meeting, plans were made for the Albany Independent Fair and for Greenhand night. Also, a new leadership point system was passed that will help members be chosen for National Convention and other FFA activities. After the meeting, members snacked on food and participated in a corn hole tournament.
