Timothy J. ‘Tim’ Diener

Timothy J. “Tim” Diener, 48, Reynolds, Ind., died Sunday, Sept. 7, 2008, at Seton Specialty Hospital, Lafayette, Ind.

He was born Sept. 6, 1960, in Monticello, Ind. to Thomas E. and Marjorie A. (Brouillette) Diener. They survive in Monticello.

On Aug. 1, 1992, he married Ann D. Schley at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Reynolds. She survives. He was a 1979 graduate of the North White High School. He graduated from Ball State University with a degree in marketing.

Diener served as vice president of Diener Seeds for several years and was a district sales manager for Heritage Diener Seeds of Reynolds, Ind.

He was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church of Reynolds, where he frequently lectured, taught CCD classes and was a member of the Holy Name Society. He was a charter member of the Knights of Columbus (John Neuman Council) of Monticello.
He was a board member of the Indiana Soybean Assoc. and the Indiana Seed Trade Assoc. He also was a member of the American Seed Trade Assoc. He enjoyed spending time with his family at ball parks and at Wally’s Woods.

Surviving with his wife and parents are two sons, Levi L. and Luke A. Diener, both at home in Reynolds; a sister, Michelle M. Filicicchia (husband, David), West Chicago, Ill.; and three brothers, Michael T. Diener (wife, Kristie) and Steven L. Diener (wife, Lisa), both of Monticello, and Phillip R. Diener (wife, Donna), Gilbert, S.C.
Services were Sept. 11 in Reynolds. Miller-Roscka Funeral Home, Monticello, Ind., was in charge of the arrangements.

Mark Alan Hahn

July 14, 1965-Sept. 5, 2008

Mark Alan Hahn, 43, Elkhart, Ind., died Friday, Sept. 5, 2008 at Goshen General Hospital, Goshen, Ind.

He was born July 14, 1965 in Elkhart to Donald D. and Linda K. (Potter) Hahn. They survive in Wakarusa, Ind.

Hahn married B. Michele Hartwell on June 6, 1990 in Elkhart. She survives.

Hahn was a 1983 graduate of Northwood High School, and he graduated from Ivy Tech with an Associates Degree in architectural engineering. He was vice president at Weldy Enterprises of Wakarusa since 1993. He formerly worked at Torch Industries in Elkhart and Hi-Tech Housing Bristol as an architectural engineer. Hahn was a member of the North Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses. He was an avid Green Bay Packer football fan, and he loved to swim in the pool with his daughters.

Surviving with his wife and parents are two daughters, Darian and Amiya Hahn, both at home in Elkhart; a grandmother, Gertrude Hahn, Wakarusa; two brothers, Chad (wife, Amy) Hahn, Wakarusa, and Darren Hahn, New Paris, Ind.; a sister, Lisa Kite, Elkhart; mother-in-law, Barbara Hartwell, Elkhart; and children he loved as his own, Angie Crumpler, Jessica Crumpler and Don Porter II, all of Elkhart.

Services were Sept. 11 at the Billings Funeral Home, Elkhart. Additional services were Sept. 13 at the North Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, Elkhart.

Memorial contributions may be sent to the Mark A. Hahn Memorial Fund in care of the Billings Funeral Home.
