Farm World welcomes The Bookworm Sez
Readers like to read. With that principle in mind, Farm World has added The Bookworm Sez, a book review column written by Terri Schlichen-meyer, to its weekly roster of columnists. Schlichenmeyer is published in 223 newspapers and 55 magazines across North America. Although she frequently reviews books with a farm or rural-life interest, Schlichen-meyer will also offer her opinions on many of the books that are found on retail shelves.

Schlichenmeyer describes herself as someone who started to read at age 3 and has never stopped. She never goes anywhere without a book. Schlichenmeyer said she lives on a hill in Wisconsin with a dog and 11,000 books.

And, she’s not afraid to tell you what she thinks. Although many reviewers are satisfied to only accentuate the positive in each book, Schlichenmeyer will try to save consumers time and money if she believes a book to be unworthy of both. Every review includes the book’s price, number of pages, and its publisher.

This week’s review is on page 4B. She is reviewing a book by Bill Schutt that is titled Dark Banquet. It is a book about bats, leeches and other blood-feeding creatures. OK, it’s not an appetizing book title, but it’s a highly entertaining review.

Check out the review on page 4B, and let us know what you think.
