Dairy association wins marketing award
COLUMBUS, Ohio — The “Healthy Rewards” dairy promotion campaign at central Ohio Kroger stores is the winner of the 2008 Achievement In Marketing (AIM) award from the American Marketing Assoc. (AMA) in two categories – best loyalty/retention marketing effort and best sales promotion.

The American Dairy Assoc. Mideast (ADAM) created Healthy Rewards to reinforce the “3-A-Day of Dairy” message and encourage consumers to buy increased quantities of dairy by offering special monthly incentives from community partners. When making a qualifying purchase of milk, cheese and yogurt at central Ohio Kroger stores, the purchaser earns a Healthy Reward from some of the best entertainment venues in central Ohio. The Healthy Rewards campaign resulted in an increase of more than 2.5 million pounds of milk sold in 2008 over the previous year.

ADAM is the regional dairy promotion program funded by approximately 3,400 dairy farmers in Ohio and West Virginia. Its purpose is to increase sales and demand for dairy products and ingredients through advertising, marketing, nutrition education and research.
