By RACHEL SHALLENBERG
Auction Exchange Editor

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Veteran war memorabilia dealers John and Julie Colvin will host their first West Michigan Military Show Oct. 9-10 at the Old Grand Rapids West Side YMCA.

The Colvins started Alexander’s Awesome Arts & Antiques more than five years ago and it continues to be a prominent source for war memorabilia in the Michigan area. The mall consists of five buildings and features a unique history and war room.

The show will feature more than 40 dealers with items ranging from the Revolutionary War all the way up to the Iraq War. There will be specialists in Civil War books and artifacts.

One vendor will have more than 500 American World War II uniforms and another has more than 400 World War II German officer uniforms.

There will be three World War II veterans signing their books as well as a vendor who reproduces Civil War cannons.

All weapons will be demilitarized and anyone in uniform will get in free, including re-enactors.

For details, call 616-456-9109 or visit www.alexandersmilitaria.com online.
