CLINTON, Tenn. — The 6th Annual Clinch River Spring Antique Fair will be on Saturday, May 1 in Historic Downtown Clinton, Tenn., with the kickoff party beginning the previous evening with live musical entertainment.

Within the Hoskins/Lane Park area on Market Street there will be plenty of food from local favorites as well as late night shopping in the antique district. All events take place rain or shine and there is plenty of free parking.

Nearly 90 exhibitors from East Tennessee, Kentucky, Virginia, North Carolina and Ohio will offer a wide range of antiques and collectibles at the blocked-off intersection of Market and Cullom streets on May 1.

Knoxville antique appraiser Scott Bishop will be available to appraise personal treasures on Saturday under the big tent in the Hoskins/Lane Park.

Each item brought for an appraisal will cost $5. The day’s events are scheduled from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. A wide selection of foods from local vendors will also be available throughout the day.
During the annual spring fair several of the city’s antique shops will be offering sales. The antique merchants of Clinton represent more than 85 dealers, offering wares in many multiple dealer shops located in and around the Historic Downtown District along Market and Main Streets.

Clinton’s antique stores offer shoppers an opportunity to stroll the city’s streets and alleyways, experiencing shops in historic buildings set in a quaint setting, in addition to an old-time drug store, restaurants, and a town park featuring an old-fashioned gazebo.
The shops of Clinton offer shoppers a wide variety of fine quality American and European antique furniture and unique antique treasures as well as vintage decorator items, including primitive furnishings characteristic of the Appalachian region of East Tennessee.

The Clinch River Spring Antique Fair has grown in popularity every year for both antiques dealers and shoppers alike, last year’s festival brought over 8,000 visitors to Clinton’s Historic Downtown District. Rain or shine, everyone always has a great time.
Clinton is just a 20-minute drive northwest of Downtown Knoxville along Interstate 75 or a 10-minute drive northeast of Oak Ridge along Hwy 61. The fair is sponsored by the Antique Merchants Guild of Clinton in conjunction with the City of Clinton and Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge.
