Visit www.indianasoybean.com/2013 USBDirectorForm.pdf or call 800-735-0195. Completed forms should be returned by Feb. 28.

AcMoodys named Reichart Quality Achievement winners

ELWOOD, Ind. — Red Gold, Inc. of Elwood presented Brian and Vern AcMoody of Union City, Mich., a plaque naming them the winners of the E.A. Reichart Quality Achievement Award, to honor them as Tomato Grower of the Year.

AcMoody Farms was chosen from a select group of nine master growers, picked from 53 growers for Red Gold. Brian and Vern also received their sixth Red Gold Master Grower award.

As tomato growers for Red Gold, the AcMoodys have excelled in stewardship practices on their farm and participated in the Red Gold IPM program. This year’s production from AcMoody Farms would account for more than 32 million cans of Red Gold whole, diced, stewed and specialty tomato products.

The award was presented during Red Gold’s 22nd annual Growers Banquet in Indianapolis. The banquet is held in conjunction with the Indiana Raw Products Conference, sponsored by Purdue University.
