NATIONAL
May 8: The National Grain and Feed Association’s  (NGFA) seminar on Trading, Trade Rules and Dispute Resolution will provide attendees with a primer on contracting principles and trading practices designed to minimize costly trade disputes and contract non-performance. To be conducted at the Hilton Kansas City Airport in Kansas City, Mo., the seminar will begin at 8 a.m. More information on the seminar is available by contacting the NGFA at 202-289-0873, or by visiting its website at www.ngfa.org

May 15-16: The 2013 Poultry Processor Workshop will address regulatory updates affecting processing operations and highlight key sustainability efforts in the poultry industry at the Embassy Suites Centennial Olympic Park in Atlanta, Ga. May 20: The American Feed Industry Assoc. and Kansas State will offer Feed Safety and Quality Assurance Protocols Distance Education Program. The course starts on May 20 and lasts for five weeks with participants working at their own pace and engaging in online discussion. The cost is $499 for AFIA members and $685 for non-members. May 16: Strawberry growers can learn about new production methods and techniques during an Ohio State University strawberry plasticulture workshop that can help them extend their growing season and boost on-farm profits from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Ohio State University South Centers in Piketon, Ohio.
