Freda L. Dudley
August 17, 1949-March 19, 2015
Freda L. Dudley, 65, of Knightstown, Ind., passed away Thursday, March 19, 2015, at her residence. She was born Aug. 17, 1949, in Knightstown, a daughter of Fred and Anna Faye (Van Dyne) Murray.
Freda retired from Mayhill Publications (now MidCountry Media) in 2014, where she had worked for many years of her adult life, beginning when she was still in high school. She was a newspaper typesetter, but was perhaps also best known to Farm World customers for her work in display advertising.
Freda was an exceptional customer service representative, pleasant and professional. She was also an excellent cook and made many mouth-watering dishes for work pitch-ins over the years.
She was a member of the Knightstown United Methodist Church, where she sang in the choir. She enjoyed cooking, watching sports, traveling and especially loved spending time with her family.
Freda leaves to cherish her memory her husband of 44 years, Daniel T. Dudley of Knightstown; two sons – Thomas “Kyle” (Laura) Dudley of Kettering, Ohio, and Andrew Ryan “Andy” (Mandy) Dudley of Frankfort, Ind.; one daughter, Kelly Nichole Dudley of Indianapolis; four grandchildren – Jessica Lynn, Justin Edward, Alaina Grace and Brock Nolan; and one sister, Marka Lee (Larry) Eckhardt of Darlington, S.C.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Dee Ann Wilkinson.
Services were Tuesday, March 24, at the Knightstown United Methodist Church with Pastor Curt Hunt officiating. Burial followed in Glen Cove Cemetery. Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service Knightstown Chapel handled the arrangements.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Henry County EMS, 1315 “I” Avenue, New Castle, IN 47362. Condolences or memories of Freda may be shared with her family at www.hinsey-brown.com
