Attendees at the 2016 Great Lakes Crop Summit (GLCS) will be able to earn Restricted Use Pesticide (RUP) credits, Certified Crop Adviser (CCA) credits and Michigan Agricultural Environmental Assurance Program (MAEAP) credits.

The event takes place at Soaring Eagle Casino and Resort in Mount Pleasant, Mich., from Jan. 27-28, 2016.

"The Great Lakes Crop Summit is the premier educational and trade event for farmers in Michigan and the surrounding region," said Natalie Rector, spokesperson for GLCS. "We’re pleased to once again offer farmers the opportunity to earn valuable credits, while they expand their knowledge and take advantage of the opportunity to network with farmers and professionals from across Michigan.

"It’s shaping up to be another great year for the event."

Attendees have the opportunity to earn 8 RUP credits (4 for each day of sessions attended); 10 CCA credits (5 for each day of sessions attended); and 1 MAEAP credit for visiting the booth at the trade show.

GLCS 2015 also features:

•Speakers from universities, industry and private consulting firms from five states

•A trade show with more than 60 exhibitors

•Topics covering everything from crop production practices and family succession planning, to consumer trends, exports, ethanol and more

•Concurrent sessions for everyone involved in the farm, with reduced registration price for additional attendees
