FOUNTAIN CITY, Ind. — Auctioneer Shane P. Hawkins, 54, of Fountain City, died Monday March 13 at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis. He was born on March 5, 1969, in Richmond to Dave and Jackie (Ross) Hawkins. Hawkins graduated from Northeastern Jr./Sr. High School in 1987. In 1996, he received his Auctioneer license and became a business partner with Andy Walther, together they started Walther and Hawkins Auctioneers. On April 5, 2010, he opened The Log House Antiques in Cambridge City, Ind. Hawkins was a member of Cambridge City Main Street and served on the Board of Directors for the Wayne County Historical Museum. From a young age, Hawkins was an active player in the antique arena. His wealth of knowledge was based on years of buying, selling and promoting antiques. He enjoyed Kayak fishing, collecting antiques, family vacations and game nights with family and friends. He is survived by his wife, Kimberly, whom he married on June 14, 2008; four children, Joseph (Debra) Spalding, Michelle (Andy Steinke) Spalding, Emily (Jesse) Moore, and Elizabeth (Kyle Kraftchick) Spalding; six grandchildren, Adrienne, Ryan, Emerson, Sarah, William and Owen; his parents, Dave (Shelly) Hawkins and Jackie (Donnie) Pardo; a sister, Damita (Tim) Nocton; a brother, Shawn Hawkins; a very close and dear friend, Sharon White and a large extended family of aunts, uncles, cousin, nieces and nephews. The funeral was held at Waskom Capitol Hill Chapel in Cambridge City, Ind.
