2007 JD 2520 tractor with loader brings $19,600
 
HOLLAND, Mich. — The weather on March 25 was less than desirable for an auction with wind, rain, and snow, however it did not stop the buyers from coming and sitting in a comfortable heated auction barn.
Dale Flokstra, owner of Dales’ Auctioneering Service LLC, conducted the auction for Bob Sloan who had an awesome woodworking shop. His love for wood and keen eye meant he crafted many beautiful items. He specialized in wood turned bowls. One of his bowls, made of maple was 17 inches across and sold for $250. 
An item that drew a lot of interest was his 2007 JD 2520 tractor with 220CX loader. The proud new owner drove it home with a smile on his face after his final bid of $19,600. The JD 450 rear tiller sold to the same gentleman for $1,750. A set of clamp-on bucket forks sold for $230 and a harrow drag for $200. For the smaller gardeners a Stihl hand tiller sold for $150 and garden sprayer for $80.
The woodworking machines were all in clean, maintained condition. A JET band saw reached $1,300 and a Bridgewood band saw for sold for $400. Two JET 15-inch planers sold for $1,500 and $2,100. A Powermatic planer reached $2,500, while a JET band saw made $1,300 and a JET drill press sold for $625.
A NOVA lathe sold strong at $750; OMEGA lathe, $500; a set of buffers, $550 and a Super Jaws vice brought $300. A Delta Unisaw made a final bid of $800; Kennedy tool chest, $175; Craftsman tool chest, $150, and Homak tool chest was $100. A Kobalt upright air compressor made $250. The Keller 21 foot folding ladder was raised up to $110 & the Werner 6 foot climbed to $60. 
Stacks of rough sawn lumber sold for $875 and several box lots of “unfinished” bowls sold for $380. Many of the lathe tools sold for $275 each. Great wood clamps sold between $50 - $150. A Husqvarna chain saw with 22-inch bar reached $475.  
The large crowd of 250 attendees all returned to their homes with treasures for their own workshops and projects. All items were displayed for viewing and inspection, however three TV screens projected each item as it was auctioned. Bidding was strong and steady for the four-hour auction.
