Indiana Beef Cattle Association to host annual convention Dec. 11

The Indiana Beef Cattle Association (IBCA) will host its annual convention Dec. 11 in partnership with Indiana Farm Bureau’s Ag Gathering in French Lick, bringing Indiana cattle producers together for a day of industry education and recognition.
As part of the partnership, IBCA will offer a series of beef-specific breakout sessions focused on current industry trends, emerging technologies and challenges facing today’s cattle producers. The sessions will provide attendees with timely information and practical insights to take back to their operations.
Breakout session topics will include:
• CattleFax Market Outlook: Supply, Demand, Leverage and What Comes Next – An inside look at current cattle market conditions, supply and demand trends, and what producers can expect moving forward.
• Emerging Technologies in Feedlot, Reproduction and Grazing Management: Tags, Collars and the Programs That Can Make Your Job Easier – Exploring new technologies and management tools designed to improve efficiency and decision making across cattle operations.
• Theileria, Anaplasmosis and the Asian Long-Horned Tick: What You Need to Know – An overview of cattle health concerns, disease risks and what producers should know to protect their herds.
Following the educational sessions, IBCA will host its annual awards banquet that evening. The banquet will recognize individuals and families who have made meaningful contributions to Indiana’s beef industry and celebrate the leadership and dedication that continue to strengthen the state’s cattle community.
Through its partnership with Indiana Farm Bureau’s Ag Gathering, IBCA looks forward to bringing cattle producers together with members of the broader agricultural community while providing programming tailored specifically to the beef industry.
Registration for the Dec. 11 events is available through the Indiana Farm Bureau website. For additional information about IBCA and its programs, visit indianabeef.org.
