INDIANAPOLIS – The Indiana Beef Cattle Association (IBCA) has scheduled the annual IBCA Policy Forum for Nov. 20 at 9 a.m. at the IBCA office, 8425 Keystone Crossing, Indianapolis. The IBCA Policy Forum is a morning long workshop where IBCA Members can come together to discuss the ag policy stances for the IBCA on a large number of issues facing the industry. During this forum, the attendees will break out into smaller focus groups to focus on different segments of the industry. General Ag Policy, Animal Health and Inspection, Marketing, Research and Education, Tax and Finance, and Natural Resources and Environment make up the six major topic areas of the policy document. This document serves as the roadmap for legislative and policy priorities at the Indiana Statehouse and for our work in Washington, D.C. Any and all current IBCA Members are invited and encouraged to attend this event to help express their views and to ensure that the IBCA policy document represents the thoughts of a wide cross section of the membership and is truly a grassroots effort. We want to accurately represent our membership when we go to Indianapolis and Washington, and the only way we can do that is to listen to what our membership is saying. This forum provides the vehicle for each and every member’s voice to be heard, and then be amplified when we talk to legislators and rule makers. The 2026 IBCA policy document can be found on the IBCA Website at www.indianabeef.org under Public Policy, in the About Us section. This previous document will serve as the starting point as we craft the 2027 document. The Indiana Beef Cattle Association is not-for-profit membership organization for Indiana beef producers and has a long and storied history of representing beef producers’ interests at the legislative and regulatory tables, in sharing industry information with those producers and in providing member services and support. The IBCA is committed to helping beef producers increase their profitability, develop a stronger beef operation and keep up to date with information critical to beef production. A continental breakfast will be available, and lunch will be provided for attendees. Please RSVP to ewilson@indianabeef.org if you plan to attend. |
