Dirt will be flying during the tillage demonstrations at Agro-Expo, which returns for its second year on August 15-16. Hosted by AgroLiquid, the show runs daily from 8:30 a.m.-4 p.m. on the company’s farm at 5605 North Findlay Road in St. Johns, just northwest of last year’s show site.
USB expands investment opportunities for producers
The United Soybean Board (USB) has announced it will be expanding its investment portfolios to give soybean producers more innovative opportunities to invest in their own bottom lines.
Grazing for the Future is scheduled for Aug. 17-18 at Clifty Inn in Madison. The first-time conference is presented by Historic Hoosier Hills Watershed Projects, in cooperation with Jefferson and Ripley counties’ Soil and Water Conservation Districts (SWCDs).
As more women run farms, Ohio hosts tractor classes
Cindy Meyer, agriculture and natural resources educator in Butler County, is making plans to host a one-day farm tractor class for women this fall. Participation is expected to be high, as even more women are taking the helm of the farm duties.
