The Indiana Corn Growers Assoc. and the Indiana Soybean Alliance, which represent the state’s corn and soybean farmers, expressed their support May 11 for the creation of a USDA Under Secretary for Trade and Foreign Agricultural Affairs. USDA Secretary Sonny Perdue made the announcement as part of a broader reorganization of the department during a visit to Cincinnati, Ohio. ISA directors Jim Douglas and Phil Ramsey, both of Shelby County, Ind., and Kendell Culp of Jasper County, Ind., attended the announcement.
