USDA: American Ag contributed nearly $1T to GDP in 2015
American agriculture and ag-related industries contributed $992 billion to the U.S. gross domestic product (GDP) in 2015, a 5.5-percent share, with the output of America’s farms contributing $136.7 billion of this sum – or about 1 percent of the GDP – according to the USDA’s Economic Research Service (ERS).
