Kentucky has become the latest in a seemingly growing

number of avian flu reports. On March 20, the Kentucky Department of Agriculture

(KDA) announced that the presence of low-pathogenic H7N9 avian influenza

(LPAI) was found in Christian County, located in the western part of the state.

J. Christopher Giancarlo, the acting chairman of the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission, was easily confirmed to the CFTC

in 2014, so it’s expected that Giancarlo will once again win easy Senate confirmation after being picked by President Donald Trump to lead the regulatory agency.

 

Most producers and researchers know the importance of

having healthy soils to work with. With that in mind, Ohio State University Extension

started a new signature program called Healthy Soil Healthy Environment to

increase soil health and awareness.
