History of Chapter: The Lawrenceville FFA was discontinued at Lawrenceville High School in 1995 due to budget. However, in 2004, Mr. Larry Lewis revived the FFA and the Agricultural Educa-tion Department.

What is your biggest fundraiser? Beans for Bucks. We speak with local farmers and ask if them if they would like to donate a portion of their soybean crop to our FFA chapter.
What is your chapter’s strength? Community development.
Most unique fact about your chapter? We have had two Illinois Assoc. FFA State Presidents come from our chapter.
Favorite Community Service Project: Dr. Suess Day. Our chapter has members read books written by Dr. Suess to first grade students from our district.
Is there a parent, community person or teacher that has done outstanding service for the chapter? Tell us about it: Mr. Ed Loeb has been the greatest supporter of agriculture education and the FFA at Lawrenceville High School. He always encouraged our chapter to do our very best in whatever we were doing and was always a positive role model.
What else would you like to tell us? We are a very diversified chapter. We have members that come from three to five generations of farm families and we also have members that live in the middle of town. Even though we have a myriad of youth in our membership, we all have the common goal of developing our knowledge in agricultural education and in the FFA.
