History of chapter: Chartered in 1974, Tippecanoe Valley Chapter derived from the building of a centralized school, blending – Akron High School and Mentone High School.

What classes are taught to FFA members? Fundamentals of Agriscience; Animal Science; Advanced Life Science: Animals; Landscape Management 1; Landscape Management 2; Natural Resource Management; Forestry Management; Plant and Soil Science; Agribusiness Management; Horticulture Science; Supervised Agricultural Experience; Agricultural Mechanics and Food Science.

What contests does the chapter participate in? Livestock, dairy, poultry and leadership contests.

Chapter activities: Chapter has ranked as a National 2 Gold Star and Superior Chapter for the past 12 consecutive years, based on individual, chapter & community development activities.

Does the chapter have an ag plot? Yes, our chapter maintains a crop plot. Also, our chapter cooperatively works with local businesses to develop/enhance a forest plot.

What is your biggest fundraiser? A benefit auction.
Favorite community service project? A free supper, we provide for everyone in our community during National FFA week.

What is your chapter’s strength? Regular monthly meetings, activities to develop leadership skills for all students, community service hours.
Most unique fact about your chapter?: We design our own chapter T-shirts each year with “FFA WISDOM.”
