MacAllister moves ag division to new facility

By SUSAN HAYHURST
Indiana Correspondent

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. — MacAllister Machinery’s Agriculture Division recently relocated to a new division headquarters facility on the southeast side of Indianapolis. The move was a result of continued growth in the company’s ag sector and wanting more space to feature equipment and parts for customers.
“MacAllister has been in business since 1945 and started as an Allis-Chalmers dealership. With the Challenger and other AGCO product lines, we have come full circle,” said MacAllister ag marketing specialist Rick Crafton. “We’re the fastest growing dealership in the state and needed more room to display equipment and create a better customer experience.”

The new facility is located at 8800 Brookville Road, about one mile from I-465.
“We’re easier to get to now, and we want farmers to be comfortable stopping in,” said Crafton. “They can talk to the counter guys, have equipment set up and service done, and look at equipment on-site. We have a much larger area for parts, and the new complex is all asphalt so customers don’t have to worry about driving or walking around in mud. We also have more parts and machines on hand.”

Crafton also noted the company’s Remington, Ind. store will relocate to Rensselaer this summer. The company has seven ag-focused locations throughout Indiana.
