Weather reporter set to keynote 82nd Kentucky FFA Convention

LEXINGTON, Ky. — Kentucky FFA members from across the Bluegrass State will meet at the expansive Lexington Center next week for the 82nd annual State FFA Convention.

From June 7-9, the convention will offer blue and gold members a series of leadership workshops, motivational presentations from keynote speakers including Bill Meck, LEX18 chief meteorologist and the state officer team, a talent competition, individual and chapter award recognition and an evening dance.

A full schedule of events includes:

Sunday, June 5
(Pre-convention activities)
7 p.m. – State Officer Candidates and Nominating Committee Reception
Monday, June 6
8 a.m. – State Officer Candidate Interviews
2 p.m. – FFA Day of Service
4 p.m. – Superior Chapter Rating Committee Meeting
6 p.m. – Talent Rehearsal- Rupp Arena
All Day – Pre-Convention Tours- Optional
