The chapter then moved on to Danville Community High School for the rest of the Leadership Contest Events on March 15.

The results of that night of competition include: Kelly Beeker placed first with her multi-media FFA scrapbook and third in the persuasive essay. Jenna Brown placed fourth with her FFA Scrapbook, Chase Layton placed sixth in prepared public speaking while Michaela Bova placed fifth in the extemporaneous speaking contest.  Kory Pegan placed sixth in the job interview contest while Savannah Hudson and Courtney Hudson performed a dance in the talent contest.

Tim Turner and Corrine Hibbert placed fifth in the food science demonstration on milk and the casein protein within.  Robin Armentrout recited the FFA Creed from memory and answered many questions about what the creed meant to her and placed fourth.

Ben Kahl and Dakota Munsell were responsible for setting up the chapter exhibit featuring Buzz Light-year and FFA’s theme “Infinite Potential,” which placed third. Kelly Beeker worked really hard at preparing the exhibit with the help of several other members and parents.

Recognition was given that night to the members of the G-C chapter that had prepared applications in their FFA proficiency’s SAE.  Jacob Detwiler won the district’s placement in ag sales thru his work at TSC.  Kelly Beeker won the district‘s placement in horticulture thru her work at Tuttle’s Orchards and managed to place in the top four in the state with this application. Kelly and her parents, Bruce and Rhonda Beeker, traveled to the State House to meet with Lt. Gov Becky Skillman to hear the results of the state wide contest and receive her prizes.
