June 29: The University of Illinois Weed Science Field Day will take place at the U of I Crop Sciences Research and Education Center in Urbana, Ill. Cost for the tour is $10 and includes a tour book, refreshments and lunch. Contact a local UoI Extension office to register.

June 30: The University of Illinois Extension and The Land Connection are collaborating to host the workshop Is Entrepreneurial Farming for You? Topics will cover resource assessment, goal-setting, financial planning and marketing options at the Sangamon County Office at the Illinois State Fairgrounds, Building 30 in Springfield, Ill.
