Combines featured at Powder Mills equipment auction MAGNOLIA, Ky. — During the Powder Mills Farm Equipment Auction on May 4, 2012, an IH 1440 combine with 3,643 hours sold for $7,750.
Other highlights include a F2 Gleaner diesel/hydro combine with 2,100 hours for $5,100; an IH 1063 combine with corn head for $6,250; an IH 963 with corn head for $2,950; a Gleaner 430 with black corn head for $2,300; a Ford 5000D tractor for $5,200; a Case 1070 for $4,200; an Anderson Bale Wrapper for $6,100; a John Deere 343 with corn head for $1,150; a John Deere 216 with flex head and bulk reel for $1,250; a Gleaner 438 with black corn head for $800, an IH 330 tractor for $1,450 and IH 560 gas tractor for $950.

John Deere 4955 sets sale record at $69.5K MONROE, Mich. — At a private auction of Mark Fetterly’s farm equipment in Monroe, Mich. on March 9, 2012, a 1989 John Deere 4955 MFWD sold for $69,500, setting an auction price record for that model.
Other sale items included a 2001 John Deere 7810 MFWD for $87,000; a 1996 John Deere 6400 with 640 loader for $46,500; a 2004 Hardi Commander Sprayer with a 60-foot boom for $23,750; a Sunflower 26-foot field cultivator for $16,500 and a Killbros 1160 grain cart for $17,500.

Angus memorabilia spurs bidding at Michigan sale SOUTH WHITLEY, Ind. — During the Kenneth E. Sherbahn Estate Auction on April 14, 2012, several vintage items of Angus cattle memorabilia drew attention from across the Midwest.
Additional featured sale lots include a 1999 GMC pickup truck sold for $7,500; 1987 Kiefer Built livestock trailer for $3,600; a 1880s wooden grain planter for $2,000; an old livestock book for $600; an old 1928 History of Angus book for $425; and a WWII Nazi Army helmet for $950.
Several items of Angus memorabilia were sold to Tom Burke of The American Angus Hall of Fame in Smithville, Mo.
All livestock sale catalogs and Indiana State Fair collectibles and memorabilia sold were in excellent condition, according to Jim Bayman, of Bayman Auctioneers who conducted the vintage sale. “There was a huge crowd from a wide area in the Midwest,” said Bayman. “We had two rings going and it still took 13 hours to sell all the items in this auction.”

John Deere 6030 tractor sells for $18.2K BLUFFTON, Ind. — During a recent auction by the Shaw Real Estate and Auction group, a 1972 John Deere 6030 tractor sold for $18,200.
Other featured sale items included a 1970 John Deere 5120 tractor for $13,000; a 1988 Case IH 1630 combine with head for $19,500; a John Deere 7200 12-row conservation planter for $20,000; two Killbros 390 hopper wagons for $4,500 each; a Glencoe 7400 soil saver for $5,200; a Walinga 510 grain vac for $6,200; a Great Plains 1510 drill for $10,000; and a John Deere 2800 seven-bottom plow for $2,250.
