KNIGHTSTOWN, Ind. — On Feb. 16, MidCountry Media announced the first winner of the Farm World Online Video Contest, Jennifer Sieber, of Marcellus, Mich., who entered a creative video displaying colorful rural images of Southwestern Michigan.

The Farm World Online Video Contest, launched on Dec. 5, invited Farm World readers to submit a video in either the creative or testimonial creative category showing the value of Farm World newspaper in one’s home, business or farm life. 

The contest winner was announced during the National Farm Machinery Show in Louisville, Ky., in mid-February.

“We were very pleased to name Jennifer Sieber as the winner of our first-ever online video contest,” said David Blower, Jr., senior editor of Farm World and associate publisher at MidCountry Media. “We loved Jennifer’s portrayal of country life through colorful photography and the catchy song that accompanied the images.”

First place winner Sieber received an Apple iPad for winning in the creative category for her video found at http://youtube/pJpPBetD61o

“I was so excited to hear that I had won,” said Seiber, who lives on a 10-acre farm in Southwestern Michigan, where she has a few chickens and enjoys living the country lifestyle. “I’ve never done anything like this before.”

According to Sieber, many of the images that are displayed during her video, are from her neighbor’s farm, a cattle, forage and grain operation.

“I thought it would be fun to make a video of the things that I see everyday and that it would be cool for other people to enjoy the images as well,’ she added.
