Real estate for sale: 210-acre ranch. Acres and acres of splendid forests, rolling hill pastures, well-watered (purebred Angus cattle). The barn is a landmark known throughout the country. Indiana’s 1975 corn crop is heading for a record if the experts at Purdue University are correct in their Aug. 1 forecast, and the soybean harvest will be close to its record production in 1973. With all eyes turned to the volatile situation in the Middle East, and financial markets in turmoil, economists say agricultural commodities should face additional pressure in the coming months. Turbo, a Yorkshire hog belonging to brothers Tom and Steve Disque of Norman Station, won the Indiana State Fair "World’s Largest Male Hog" championship, weighing in at 1,150 pounds. This is the fourth time in a row the brothers have won this event. |
