ILLINOIS

March 14: The University of Illinois Extension has scheduled a workshop to provide Illinois livestock producers with manure management training. The workshop will begin at 8:30 a.m. at the Illinois State Fairgrounds in Springfield, Ill. The cost is $35. For more questions about registration, contact Nancy Simpson at nsimp1@illinois.edu

March 15-March 29: The University of Illinois Extension will host a Small Farms Winter Webinar Series, featuring practical presentations on small farm enterprises and strategies every Thursday at noon. INDIANA

KENTUCKY

March 16: The Kentucky Agricultural Development Board and the Kentucky Agricultural Finance Corp. will have their monthly business meetings at 9 a.m. at the Christian County Cooperative Extension Office in Hopkinsville, Ky. Meetings are open to the public and all are welcome to attend. March 14: The Michigan Department of Agriculture and Rural Development will partner with the Pure Michigan Business Connect to offer the Pure Michigan Agriculture Summit at the Suburban Collection Showplace in Novi, Mich. TENNESSEE

March 14-15: The University of Tennessee Extension will offer workshops across the state to teach farmers how to keep records for value-added enterprises. Pre-registration is required, and the workshop will begin with check-in at 8:30 a.m. The workshop will end at 4 p.m. Workshops will be at these locations:

•March 14, Franklin, Tenn.

•March 15, Knoxville, Tenn.

March 14-28: The Improve Communication and Build Better Relationships with Real Colors Workshops will be in White Pine, Tenn. (March 14) and in Spring Hill, Tenn. (March 28). March 21-24: Thousands of antique John Deere tractor enthusiasts will travel to the Quad Cities and home of Deere & Co. to attend the Gathering of the Green conference. The Gathering of the Green is a biannual event for John Deere 2-cylinder and New Generation tractor collectors, restorers and enthusiasts. This year’s gathering will focus on the 100th anniversary of John Deere entering the farm tractor business and is at The RiverCenter, 136 E. 3rd St. in Davenport, Iowa.
