Civil War home, farmland brings nearly $900K at auction

DAVIESS COUNTY, Ky. — A 120.57-acre gently rolling, mostly cropland farm with a Civil War-era frame home sold at auction recently for $888,520, or $7,369 per acre.

The home – with 14.4 acres, a tobacco barn and a tool shed – brought $152,000, for an average of $10,556 per acre. The remaining unimproved land sold for $736,520, or $ 6,937 per acre.
