Case IH Enhances Disc Mower Line With Three New Models

Case IH now has disk mowers available in multiple widths, the MDX21 (4-disc, 5-foot, 6-inch cutting width), MDX31 (5-disc, 6-foot, 9-inch) and MDX41 (6-disc, 7-foot, 11-inch).

All three Case IH models sport ground-hugging, oval-shaped cutting discs with two knives per disc. They feature heavy-duty, double-edged reversible knives, which are protected by sturdy rock guards and skid shoes.

In addition, an adjustable flotation spring allows the operator to change the ground pressure applied to the MDX cutter bar, and the spring-loaded breakaway latch protects the cutter bar if the cutter path is obstructed.

The Case IH MDX Series 540-rpm PTO driveline with over-running clutch both protects the driveline and makes hook-up easier. Hook-up and transportation is further simplified with the three-point mount, featuring two adjustable parking stands and a storage support for the PTO shaft, to ease the process of attaching and removing the MDX Series disc mowers from the tractor.

MDX Series economy disc mowers require tractors be equipped with a cab and a range of 35-to-50 PTO hp.
