800 farmers attend large
Michigan equipment sale

BRECKENRIDGE, Mich. — 411 registered buyers and 800 total attendees from four states and Canada arrived at the Stoneman Farms farm equipment sale on March 12 in Breckenridge, Mich.
“The day began at 14 degrees with 22 degrees being the highest temperature of the day – overall it was a great sunny day,” said Auctioneer Scott Sykora, of Sykora Auction Service.

He added that the bidding was very active on manure equipment, average on tractors, the tillage priced higher than expected, road trucks and dump trailers were higher and “overall it was a great auction- thanks to all who attended.”

Items included: a 2004 Husky 9000 gallon 28-foot trailer mounted manure tanker for $25,000; a 2003 Husky 9000 gallon 28-foot trailer mounted manure tanker for $20,000; a Husky No. 10,000H 10-foot by 10-foot manure pump, trailer type for $6,700; a 2008 John Deere #2600 GS-2 display with SF-2 activation that sold for $9,500; a 2008 John Deere Starfire ITC receiver with SF-2 upgrade; a 2007 John Deere Universal AutoTrac 200 Kit for $1,900; a 2006 Trimble E-Z Guide plus light bar for $3,000 and a 2003 H&S 60-foot gallon trailer field sprayer for $13,500.

Others items included a John Deere 8320 MFWD diesel tractor for $87,000; a 2003 John Deere 8320 MFWD diesel tractor for $94,000; a 1991 John Deere 8960 4x4 diesel tractor for $45,000; a 1998 John Deere 1850 no-till drill 36-foot air drill for $23,500; a 2008 John Deere 1770 CCS 24-row planter for $105,000; a 1990 John Deere 9600 4x4 diesel combine for $35,000; a 1996 Case 621B end loader for $22,500; a 1995 Peterbilt Conventional Tractor with sleeper for $13,000, a 1998 Freightliner FLD tractor with day cab for $13,500; a 1994 IH 9400 feed truck with day cab for $32,500; and a 1994 Volvo feed truck for $37,500.

Case IHC tractor sells
for $50,000 at Indiana auction

MIDDLETOWN, Ind. — On March 7, several items belonging to the Kenneth Ritchie estate sold at a Bill Harter auction in Middletown, Ind.

Featured items included: 7130 Case IHC tractor for $50,000; 1086 IHC tractor w/scoop for $15,500; a Case IHC disc No. 3950 for $16,000; Sunflower land finisher 18-foot for $14,000; a whistle plow 6500 for $3,800; John Deere 7000 8-row planter for $7,000; Kewanee blade for $2,150; Case 5400 drill for $10,000; and a Case 1640 combine and header for $25,000.

Hoosier auction sells
backhoe for $15,000

KNIGHTSTOWN, Ind. — The Hoosier Outdoor Power and Farm Supply consignment sale on March 21 featured numerous farm items drawing high bids at the central Indiana sale in Knightstown.
Items of interest included: a John Deere 510B backhoe with loader for $15,000; a Case IH 460 tractor for $2,200; a John Deere 4650 tractor for $21,500; a second John Deere 4650 tractor for $22,300; a John Deere 640 rake for $950; an Arts-Way PM25 grinder for $7,250; a Ford 8N for $2,750; a John Deere 2640 tractor for $8,500; a MF 160 for $1,400; a John Deere Gator for $4,300; a Case IH 10 disc for $550; and a Farmall H for $1,050.
