Bane-Welker welcomes Nettie Payne

Crawfordsville, Ind. – Bane-Welker recently hired Nettie Payne in the role of digital marketing manager. Payne worked for the company in the parts division in Remington prior to being hired for this position.
Payne is from Altoona, Iowa, and grew up in the suburbs of Des Moines. She attended Iowa State University and graduated with a degree in agricultural and life sciences education, communications option, in December 2016. While in college, she held marketing internships with Country View Dairy and Ingham Okoboji Lutheran Bible Camps.
“I have always loved the country and raising animals,” Payne said. “I joined FFA in high school and grew to have a love for agriculture and its’ importance on our daily lives.”
Upon graduation, Payne had an internship with Disney where she grew the plants in the Living with the Land boat ride and gave backstage educational tours of the hydroponic facility. In 2018 she had the opportunity to live on her family’s century farm in Adair, Iowa, where she got first-hand experience on the day-to-day operations of row crop farming. She raised chickens and worked at Agri Drain in sales while living there. She moved to Indiana in 2020 and began her career at Bane-Welker Equipment in the parts department.
“We are excited to bring Nettie on board in marketing. Her agricultural experience and enthusiasm for marketing makes this a great fit for her,” said Karl Locascio, director of marketing at Bane-Welker. “She has some great ideas and will be a welcome addition to the team.”
Payne is engaged to be married in March 2021 and is looking forward to this new opportunity in marketing. She can be reached via email nettie.payne@bwe.com.
