Dennis B. Carmichael (1953-2022)
 
Dennis B. Carmichael, 68, of Knightstown, passed away March 2, 2022, at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis. He was born June 26, 1953, in Greenfield, the son of Bryan and Gladys (King) Carmichael.
Dennis had been a lifelong farmer in Henry and Hancock counties. He was a member of the Central Indiana Tractor Pullers Association. He enjoyed tractor pulling, Western movies, hunting and was a Bigfoot enthusiast. Dennis was a Clint Eastwood fan, collected toy tractors and loved Massey and Oliver tractors and Ford trucks.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Joan (Robb) Carmichael, whom he married August 16, 1971; three sons, Gabe (Heidi) Carmichael, of Knightstown, Bryan Carmichael (Allison Brewer), of Carthage, and Jim (Danielle) Carmichael, of Knightstown; grandchildren, Emma, Mason, Landon, Ariana, Braxton, Brayden and Bryor; two sisters, Anita Dusang, of Greenfield, and Marsha (Paul) Veach, of Shirley; sister-in-law, Eleonore Carmichael, of Markleville; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Dwight “Bud” Carmichael and brother-in-law, Raymond Dusang.
Services were March 6 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service Knightstown Chapel. Burial was in Glen Cove Cemetery.
