NEW ORLEANS —The application period for the annual Women in Agribusiness (WIA) Student Scholarship program has opened, and submissions will be accepted through Sunday, July 12. Students also enjoy exclusive breakfast, lunch and workshop opportunities, as well access to all receptions and special activities. Scholarships to attend the 15th annual Women in Agribusiness Summit September 22-24 in New Orleans, are available to full-time upperclassmen undergraduate, graduate, or doctoral candidate students attending an accredited college or university. Last year’s scholars hailed from Texas A&M University, Virginia Tech, Alabama A&M University and more. “Many thanks to our generous sponsors, such as Karen LeVert, AgReserves, Manulife and Ardent Mills and many more, who have made this transformative opportunity a reality by providing in excess of $1.4 million over the years to support this unique program,” said Reagan Russell, who manages the program for Women in Agribusiness. “It is always disappointing to turn away these young professionals, so we are seeking to host several more students this year through additional sponsorships as the need outpaces the availability of scholarships For more information visit www.womeninag.com.
