June 12-15: AgGateway’s Mid-Year Meeting will be at Prairie Meadows in Altoona, Iowa, just outside of Des Moines. KENTUCKY
Sept. 12-14: The American Feed Industry Assoc.’s 46th annual Liquid Feed Symposium will be in Louisville, Ky. The symposium is ideal for networking, as it is the largest and longest-running event of its kind. Additionally, a person is inducted into the Liquid Feed Hall of Fame each year at the symposium.

May 19: On the eve of the grand opening of the Old Capitol Farmers Market, the next dinner in the Community Supported Dinner Series will give participants an opportunity to learn more about the faces behind their favorite farmers market booths.  May 25: Strawberry Field Night will be 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. at OSU South Centers, 1864 Shyville Road, Piketon, Ohio. June 11-13: Teens are invited to  attend Ohio Forestry and WildlifeConservation Camp, which is held at FFA Camp Muskingum on Leesville Lake in Carroll County, Ohio. Camp costs $375, with sponsorships available to assist interested students who need help covering the fee. Sponsorships are offered through local SWCD offices, sportsmen’s clubs, forestry groups and many private forestry-sector businesses. Students must register by June 9, and registration is now open at ohioforest.org

June 17: OSU South Center’s Hops Field Day, hosted by Brad Bergefurd, will begin at 10 a.m. at the center in Piketon, Ohio, and include viewing and discussion in the hop yard, a

TENNESSEE
May 18-20: The 2017 Small Ruminant Conference will be on the campus of the University of Tennessee Institute of Agriculture in Knoxville, Tenn.

May 25: A workshop to address the need for firewood producers – that will show participants how to develop their own small businesses to sell heat-treated firewood to fill increasing demand at campgrounds – will be 1 to 3 p.m. at the Leslie Town Centre in Cookeville, Tenn. Tree-killing insects and diseases can’t move far on their own, but when people transport firewood in their cars and trucks, they can jump hundreds of miles.
