IBCA, IBC boards are now set

INDIANAPOLIS – The full roster of the Indiana Beef Cattle Association/Indiana Beef Council board of directors for the 2024-25 year has been set. In addition to the positions that were elected at the IBCA annual convention on Jan. 13, a new group of directors was recently approved to fill presidential appointment positions on the IBCA board of directors. These presidential appointments are for two-year terms and must be approved by the full board of directors, which took place at the IBCA/IBC board of directors meeting March 6, 2024.
Newly appointed/reappointed IBCA/IBC board members include:
Lindsay Sankey – Economy – promotions committee chair
John Blake – Earl Park – Hoosier Beef Congress committee chair
Dr. David Dixon – Rensselaer – IJBCA committee chair
Gordon Lowry – Owensville – marketing sector representative
Andon Boocher – Alexandria – service sector representative
Adam Tyler – Covington – Purdue Extension representative
Jeff Carter – Frankfort – dairy sector representative
Braydin Hiple – veal sector representative
In addition, Ellie Sennett, of Waynetown, was appointed to serve as Area 9 Director. Sennett’s appointment will complete Dixon’s final year of his term that was vacated when he was elected to vice president at the IBCA Annual Convention.
President Kelley Sheiss shared the following statement about the newly appointed directors: “I am very excited to bring these new members to our IBCA and IBC team and to get them involved and bring their new ideas to the table. Between our recent area director elections that took place at the area meetings and these new appointments, we have built an awesome team of great people with many new ideas that we hope to bring to life at the IBCA and the IBC. I can’t wait to see where they take us in our mission to build a better beef business in Indiana.”
The IBCA board of directors is made up of elected leadership, 10 area directors as well as representatives from dairy, veal and allied industries. These local producer leaders volunteer their time to serve on the board for the IBCA to oversee membership activities as well as the IBC to manage the collection and allocation of the Beef Checkoff.
